• PERRY: Well, I don't know about that. You know, you can't…

O'REILLY: You have to know. Come on. What do you mean you don't know about that?

PERRY: You can't be for banning guns and then all of a sudden you're -- you know for the second amendment. You can't be for the issue of abortion and then you are pro-life.

O'REILLY: So you think he is a weasel?

PERRY: I mean, you can't be on both sides of these issues.

    O'REILLY: You think he's a weasel.

    PERRY: I think.

O'REILLY: You think he doesn't have any principles?

PERRY: I think in his own words he says, listen, I need to say whatever I need to say for whatever office I'm running for.

O'REILLY: Wow, that's pretty strong though. How can you respect the guy? That's not Texas strong.

PERRY: That's his words. That's his words. He said that.

O'REILLY: But some people are OK with -- some people are OK with people evolving and some people aren't. Where do you stand?

PERRY: Right. Well, I have been consistent all my life. I have always been pro-second amendment. I have always been pro-life. I have been always been pro-domestic marriage.

O'REILLY: No, no. Where do you stand on people evolving or people -- where do stand on people evolving or people standing firm? Where do you stand on that? Do you respect the evolution that the governor might have gone through?

PERRY: Listen, I think -- how do you -- how do you change at the age of 50 or 60, positions on life, positions on guns, positions on traditional marriage? I mean, those aren't minor issues, Bill. So to change those at age of 50 or 60 tells you all you need to know about that.

O'REILLY: Wow. All right, governor. We appreciate it. You're welcome any time. Of course, Governor Romney is welcome to respond any time as well. And we're going to have a very interesting campaign here, and we wish you the best. Good luck, governor. Thanks for coming on.

    PERRY: Thank you, Bill.
