    • NYFW: Zang Toi Celebrates 25 Years of the American Dream

Zang Toi celebrated 25 years at his Spring 2015 fashion show at New York Fashion Week.

The Malaysian-born designer was honored by the photographers and cameraman at the end of his latest fashion show with a birthday cake as the crowd sang 'happy birthday.' The designer had to be dragged back to the end of the runway by the normally stern photographer and fashion week enforcer Richard Renda.

In an interview after the show, Toi told me he is very shy and he was embarrassed by the attention, "I hate walking the runway.. I always will."... continue reading »

    • Congress Endorses Syria Action, but Not Everyone is Onboard

President Obama expected to sign legislation passed by both houses of Congress to train and arm Syrian rebels in the fight against ISIS terrorists. Skepticism about the U.S. strategy remains high from both sides of the aisle. The legislation passed Congress fairly easily, but there was no mention of air strikes or sending troops in the bill.

Many in President Obama's base are unhappy with the military action. Liberals have been vocal about opposing any return to Iraq, and a wider debate could happen after November's midterms... continue reading »

There is broad support for air strikes, but a majority doesn't want ground troops sent into Iraq or Syria.
