• Growing Tensions Between the U.S. and Russia Over Ukraine - Kerry in Kiev

      Russian President Vladimir Putin not doing much to calm tensions with Ukraine this morning. The Russian leader saying Moscow reserves the right to use all means to protect Russians in Ukraine. He also seemed to threaten to pull the Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is headed to Kiev to show support for the fledgling new Ukrainian government as Russian troops remain entrenched in Crimea. Kerry should be arriving in Ukraine shortly and will hold a news conference during our show. We'll take it live if we have a live camera.

      President Obama is expected to speak during our show today on his new budget (being presented to Congress this AM), but he's likely also to mention the growing tensions with Russia. He's visiting an elementary school ahead of the remarks. We'll be listening.

      The President will unveil a $4 trillion budget for 2015 that drops plans to cut future social security benefits. It also asks Congress for more money for infrastructure, education and job training.

      We get two reads on the economy today after international markets recovered somewhat from the Ukraine shock overnight. Yesterday the Dow closed down by more than 150 points .. Today we get reads on consumer confidence and housing.

      North Korea has fired seven suspected artillery shells into the ocean in what's seen as a response to recent U.S./S Korea war games. It's being called an act of provocation.

      It's primary day in Texas. Casey Stegall reports.
