      Another delay for Obamacare.

      The White House extended again the deadline for signing up for coverage under the Affordable Care Act to get covered by January first. The feds say people can continue to complete the applications if they can show they missed the deadline because of problems with the Healthcare.gov website

      Administration officials told the New York Times it was a common-sense move in response to a huge surge in traffic to the site in the days leading up to the deadline.

      President Obama is in Honolulu celebrating Christmas with his family today. The President and First Lady Michelle Obama via taped message, encouraged Americans to volunteer and buy gifts for kids in need. The President said the values Jesus taught should inspire all Americans to be better people.

      Pope Francis spoke to tens of thousands from the balcony of Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. The Pope prayed for peace in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and for peace in Syria, Iraq, South Sudan, Nigeria and the Central African Republic. The Pope has an 88% approval rating by the way.

      In Queen Elizabeth II's annual message, she said it's important to "pause and take stock" of life's big events.

      In other news,

      100,000 homes and businesses in Maine remain without power, and another 150,000 in Michigan after that terrible weekend ice storm.

      Residents of 34 homes destroyed by a wildfire in Big Sur, California are returning home today.

      Gay marriages continue to be legal in Utah after a judge's ruling on Friday despite numerous appeals.

      The price of postage going up. Beginning January 26th, first class postage rises .03 to .49/ letter.

      A major renovation starts today on the U.S. capitol building. A huge scaffolding enclosure will wrap the 150 year old dome.

      Two bombings near Christian areas of Baghdad have left 37 people dead. One of the attacks happened near a church during Christmas Mass.

      There was also an attack on the U.S. embassy in Kabul, but no injuries.
