We get the October employment report today and economists expect the rate to rise slightly. The government shutdown, though, could throw off the numbers.
President Obama is touring the Port of New Orleans today, and will make a speech on the economy. He's going to make a major push for infrastructure spending.
He's not likely to address the apology he made in an interview to NBC News. The President telling Chuck Todd, "I'm sorry they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me. We've got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this."
The President also saying he got burned by an Obamacare website that doesn't work. He said he is deeply frustrated by the website issues.
