Our focus today remains on the horrific crimes that took place in Aurora, Colorado. Suspect James Holmes is scheduled to appear in person at the Arapahoe County Justice Center at 11:30AM ET.
Police insist that Holmes acted alone. 12 are dead, but there are warnings the death toll could rise. 58 are injured. Investigators say he still refuses to cooperate with police, and the Aurora police chief says Holmes has "lawyered up." We are learning more about the victims today, and will tell some of their stories. There is also new information out today that the military style assault rifle Holmes used on unsuspecting theater-goers may have jammed and spared many more lives. Over the weekend investigators safely blew up some of the many bombs Holmes had allegedly rigged around his apartment. Fox news has learned various Batman memorabilia were discovered in the apartment. Holmes also reportedly had stockpiled some 6000 rounds of ammunition. He reportedly gathered much of his arsenal on the internet. There was a candle light vigil last night. Jon Scott also did some reporting at a memorial that includes 12 crosses.
