In recognition of the service of ten Wounded Heroes, Journey 2 Serve in cooperation with Operation First Response hosted a lunch at Benjamin Steakhouse in their honor.
Joined by their family and friends, the heroes were flown to New York from across the country to be presented with plaques and flags honoring their courage and commitment.

Founder and President of Operation First Response, Peggy Baker, welcomed guest speaker Agostino Von Hassell, notorious historian, chef, and photographer; Mike Davis, founder of Joe Bonham, and his wife, along with vocalist John Kano who performed an original piece entitled "Love is Forever".

The event brought together two brothers who served and had not seen each other in 20 years.

David Diaz presented his brother Duval Diaz with an American flag that was flown in war-torn Iraq.
The brave heroes were toasted at a lunch time feast of appetizers, dry-aged Porterhouse, Ribeye steak, delicious sides and assorted delicious desserts.
