SEAN HANNITY, HOST: It took 24 hours but at long last, the White House has issued a response to the shocking remarks that were delivered by the Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa, who urged an amped-up union crowd to quote, "Take those Tea Party sons of bitches out."

Now "The Anointed One" has been calling on you and me to tone down the heated rhetoric since January. But as usual, he and his team, they don't practice what they preach.

Now here's what the White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer told WMAL radio earlier today.

DAN PFEIFFER, WHITE HOUSE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR: I think that this is a bit of a parlor game in Washington which is, let's try to take anything that anyone who supports politicians, or the president or -- candidates says, and pin it on them and make the, you know, the president have to serve as the speech police for the Democratic Party and someone in the Republican...

UNIDENTIFIED MAN: But Dan, he said that he has an army ready to do the president's bidding. And it was time to take the SOBs out. That's a sort of a harsh thing that you should say before the president of the United States speaks. The president has called for, you know, a greater and higher political discourse in this country. This doesn't seem to meet the standard.

PFEIFFER: Well, look, that's a judgment for you guys to make. It is a judgment for others to make.

HANNITY: Now, I have a judgment. The president is more than happy to serve as the chief of the speech police that's for conservatives, for Republicans, for me, for you, of course, members of the Tea Party Movement, just not for members of his own party. Maxine Waters, "you can go straight to hell." Frederica Wilson, thinks you are the real enemy. His own vice president who referred to the Tea Party members as terrorists.

And joining me now with reaction, the author of the terrific brand new book called, it's called "A Point in Time: The Search for Redemption in This Life and the Next," David Horowitz. The co-host of "The Five," always getting in trouble, always having to be defended is our own Bob Beckel.

BOB BECKEL, CO-HOST, "THE FIVE": Good to see you.

HANNITY: David, good to see you, too.

DAVID HOROWITZ, AUTHOR, "A POINT IN TIME": Hey.

HANNITY: Congrats on the book. This was -- the guy who wrote the art of political war, this is it. This is what we are talking about here. And this is a far more reflective book and a lot of your wisdom.

Let me ask you this. Bob Beckel, when Hoffa says, you know, we are at war with them, we are going to take those sons of bitches out, we need jobs. Most Americans are not union members. He's talking about unions, not talking about the American people, the 15 million Americans that are out of work, the other Americans that are under employed, is he?

BECKEL: Listen. I really can't quite get what the big deal is here. I mean, I know Jimmy Hoffa and he is not a guy who is a soft spoken guy. Now, would I have used those words now that I have finished calling the Tea Party all the names I could call them, I now call a truce. And I don't call them that. I say they are Tea people and that is fine.

Now, but what Hoffa was talking about was, what I said, is let's stop calling them names and let's get to win the war with them, and that war is in the elections because that's where we are going to beat them.

And by the way, the Tea Party doesn't represent much in America. Right now, they had a poll out today, among Republicans, they're half, what, positive and negative about the Tea Party.

HANNITY: All right. Let's go to a montage of the president, David. I'll get your reaction about -- the issue here is the double standard, the hypocrisy. Here's President Obama calling for civility again and again.

OBAMA, AUG. 11, 2009: Where we do disagree, let's disagree over things that are real. Not these wild misrepresentations.

REP. MAXINE WATERS, D-CALIF., AUG. 23: The Tea Party can go straight to hell.

OBAMA, AUG. 11, 2009: People who want to keep things the way they are will try to scare the heck out of folks.

VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN, SEPT. 5: You are the only folks keeping the barbarians in the gate.

OBAMA, AUG. 11, 2009: Create bogeyman out there that just aren't real.

HANNITY: David?

HOROWITZ: Well, when it comes Sean, to bold-face lying to the American people, Barack Obama makes Bill Clinton look like a boy scout. I've never seen a president lie with such aplomb and so consistently over so long a time as Barack Obama.

It is totally hypocritical. And you know, Bob put a kind of nice spin on the Hoffa speech. This is the language of warfare. This is so destructive to a democracy. Our politics has become unbelievably ugly. And the Democrats for reasons actually, I don't refer to Democrats, but I explain in my book, people on the left are basically in a religious movement. They want to see a redemption in this life. And they see conservatives like us, we are the party of Satan for them. And that's the way they treat us. Whereas conservatives tend to be on the whole, civil, they give people the benefit of the doubt and they are.

BECKEL: Excuse me, I'm sorry.

HOROWITZ: It is OK, we forgive you.
