Paul Ryan Leaves Door Open for Vice President
House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan left the door open for a possible Vice Presidential slot during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday.”
Anchor Chris Wallace asked Congressman Paul Ryan if he’d be open to becoming the eventual Republican nominee’s choice for Vice President.
Ryan replied, “I would have to consider it, but it’s not something I’m even thinking about… it’s not a bridge I’ve even come close to crossing.”
This is further than the congressman has ever gone when answering the VP question. Ryan, a favorite of many conservatives and someone who’s considered to be a rising star on the national political scene, was one of many political figures urged to join the current GOP presidential primary.
Congressman Ryan always answered those inquiries with straight forward denials of any desire to run for the highest office in the land, making this latest non-denial noteworthy.
