We thought feminists liked courses and programs geared to women.
At the University of Colorado, for example, of the 13 graduates in 2014 who majored in Women and Gender Studies, all but one is a woman. Last year, they were all women. And they study issues related to women’s interests, taking courses from “Women and Politics in Latin America” to “Disney’s Women and Girls.”
But now some feminists are in an uproar because some women on campus want to learn about . . . football.
For $50, CU-Boulder students can take a clinic called “Football 101 for Women.” It runs about three hours; there is no academic credit given; and the school says it’s very popular with students.
