Love your show and as soon as I can get the book, I know it will be good too. My husband and I have been married over 66 years and still going! On a trip not long ago someone asked the secret to our long marriage. I replied, "Oh I just always let him have my way."

My husband and I have been together for 40 years and on October the 17th, we were married for 36 years.
The secret to our happy marriage is, that we just plain love each other. I'm a romantic and he's not. His idea of fixing a toilet is placing an "out of order" sign on it. I love to dance and he has two left feet. After 40 years he still calls the kids to see what to get me for my birthday.
We are still the same silly teenagers we were when we met, who couldn't live a day without one another. When our song comes on the radio ("Cherish" by The Association) we will call the other one, to listen to it together. When we get angry, we just look at each other and laugh, because no matter what, WE LOVE EACH OTHER.
I still love the way his eyes twinkle when he laughs, and I still blush when he looks at me a certain way. I wave to him in the window when he leaves the house, and I'm always waiting at the door when he comes home. We can't believe that we are the grandparents of nine, because it still seems like just yesterday that we met and fell in love. He's still my Johnnie Angel, and I'm still his Sherrie Baby, and we will Cherish each other forever and a day.
There are many ups and downs in a marriage, but if you are holding hands all the way it's a piece of cake.

My marriage is happy because we'd been married 20 years and then we met.
He tricked me into marrying him, he told me I was pregnant.
He told me why they rope the aisles off at weddings, so the groom can't get away.
I am an earth sign, my husband is water — together we make mud.
We sleep in different rooms, we have dinner apart and take separate vacations, we are doing everything we can to keep our marriage together. I was one of the few brides who the congregation requested to keep my veil on.
On our honeymoon he told me to take off my pajamas — I wasn't wearing any. Ah, married bliss.

After 18 years, 3 months, 2 weeks, 3 days, 4 hours, 23 minutes, the formula is quite simple: I make all the important decisions, and my wife Dawn tells me which decisions are important.
