Vet Raising $1 Million for Wounded Vets
Vietnam vet Barry Fixler has one goal - to raise at least $1 million to benefit wounded veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
He has already raised and gifted $100,000 to wounded Marine veteran Sgt. Eddie Ryan of Bardonia, N.Y., to renovate his home and pay for therapy. Ryan suffered a traumatic brain injury in Iraq.
Fixler established The Barry Fixler Foundation (a 501c3), through which he donates 100 percent of proceeds from sales of his Vietnam memoir, “Semper Cool.” That and ALL other money raised will be distributed directly to wounded troops and their families, and to the families of fallen veterans.
Help Barry reach his goal!
