Does the Fox News iPad application work on a Wi-Fi-only iPad?

Yes, the application works on both the Wi-Fi and 3G versions of the iPad.

Does the Fox News iPad application cost anything?

Fox News does not charge for the application at this time. Please note that in the absence of a Wi-Fi connection, the Fox News iPad application uses your iPad's cellular network connection to access and download content. Please check with your carrier to see if you will be charged for usage.

Can I read the news offline or in Airplane Mode?

Yes, you can read the latest news from the last time your device was connected to the Internet. Please note that some features including live and on-demand video require a network connection and will not be available when you are offline.

Can I watch Fox News Channel on the application?

At this time, streaming Fox News Channel is not available through the Fox News iPad application. However, you can watch Foxnews.com Live from 9AM-3PM ET as well as some live breaking news videos. On demand video clips are also available.

Why is the live video not streaming?

The quality of the video is dependent on your wireless network and signal strength. If you do not have a strong enough connection, you may only have access to the audio stream.

What will I find in the "Happening Now" section?

"Happening Now" contains the latest articles and videos from all of your favorite sections including Politics, Entertainment, Health, and more. The featured content will automatically rotate every few seconds or you can swipe through yourself. You can also access Foxnews.com Live from the Happening Now box on the application's home screen. Tap into Foxnews.com Live weekdays from 9AM-3PM to watch the live web show on the day's hottest topics.

How do I sort the news by content type?

With the Fox News iPad app you choose how you view the news. Select articles, videos, or slideshows by tapping their respective icons on the left side of the content slider to get the news the way you want! Your selections will remain across news categories and the app will remember your preferences for future visits.

How do I turn on Fox News Radio?

To begin listening to Fox News Radio, tap the microphone icon on the top left of the screen and press the play button. You can continue streaming Fox News Radio in multitasking mode.

How do I sign up for Breaking News alerts?

To make sure you are subscribed to Fox News Alerts click on the "Settings" icon on your iPad home screen. Then select "Notifications." Confirm that "Notifications" are set to "ON" and then select Fox News from the list of applications to set your preferences.

How do I save articles, slideshows, or videos?

To save an article or slideshow, tap the "star" icon. Tapping the star a second time will remove the item from your Favorites. You can review your saved articles and slideshow later by tapping the "Favorites" tab on the top of the home screen content slider.

To save a video clip tap the "plus" icon. To remove videos from your Playlist, tap the plus icon again. To access your saved video clips later, select the Playlist tab on the home screen slider.

How can I share Fox News articles, videos, and slideshows?

You can share Fox News content via email, Facebook, and Twitter. Just click on the 'share' icon on article, photo, or video pages and select one of these options. You will be prompted to log in to Facebook or Twitter if you choose to share through these platforms. You can manage your Facebook and Twitter log ins through Settings in the app.
