How to Get Jessica Simpson’s Hot Holiday Hair

Blondes have more fun — especially when there’s some bubbly involved. READ: The White Hot Hair Color of 2014 To welcome the holiday season, Jessica Simpson opted to brighten her blonde tresses with a champagne hue. Soon afterward on December 2nd, the 34-year-old fashion mogul debuted her white-hot ‘do on Instagram, giving a nod to her hairstylist and friend Rita Hazan. “Nothing like a Monday bleach by one of my besties @ritahazan,” she captioned the photo, pictured above. And it's easy to see why Simpson went with her current color, as it nicely complements her shoulder-sweeping lob haircut and sizzling svelte shape. “Now that she cut her hair, she needed a cool and edgy color,” explains Hazan to US Weekly, who notes that Simpson's dye process took two hours for super shiny results. READ: Find Your Perfect Hair Color “I made it a cool champagne blonde — very light, almost white, but with depth and dimension,” adds Hazan. If you, too, are thinking about going a lighter shade of blonde, Hazan says the secret to gorgeous results is maintaining the color once the dye process is complete. Touch-ups every six to eight weeks are highly recommended, she says. Celebrity stylists like Hazan also emphasize how crucial it is to protect your hair before the actual dye job by using a deep conditioning treatment at least three days before bleaching or highlighting, and weekly thereafter. This will give your hair extra smoothness, sealing in moisture and plenty of bounce. However, this isn’t the first time Simpson has had a major blonde moment. On the red carpet, she’s always flaunting an envious, sought-after mane. Check out some (of many) Simpson’s best hair moments below:
