Fourth of July Recipe: Mango Salsa Shrimp
There’s nothing like food served on a skewer. It makes things easier all around for party hosts and party goers. So this July 4th, make it with shrimp and serve with a delicious, fiery mango salsa.

Mango Salsa Ingredients

2 plum tomatoes, diced
1 mango, diced
¼ - ⅓ cup red onion, diced
2 serrano peppers, diced
1-2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lime, juiced
½ teaspoon salt
Red pepper flakes (optional)

Shrimp Ingredients

1 ½ pounds jumbo shrimp
1 tablespoon ground chipotle chile pepper
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil

Step 1

Take first six salsa ingredients and mix in a bowl.

Step 2

Add olive oil, lime juice and salsa. Mix again. Refrigerate for 30 minutes in order to marinate.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix all shrimp ingredients and skewer four seasoned shrimp onto each stick.

Step 4

Grill about 5 minutes on each side.
