Cosenza says pale pouts with a grunge undertone are very on trend for fall. To achieve this look, she suggests using colors that have a little chalkiness to them. "If your skin is warm-toned, choose a clay color, and if you're cool-toned go for ashy colors." Just because matte lips are in style, doesn't mean you have to splurge on new lipstick. Cosenza says, "You can easily mattify any red lipstick you own by patting transluscent powder over it." When it comes to choosing your perfect red shade, Cosenza says go for a red with blue undertones if you have cool skin, and go for a red that has yellow undertones if you have warm skin. Step 1: Outline and fill in your lips with lipliner. She also says can also experiment with lighter colors to get a more wearable daytime look. Step 1: Apply a berry-colored liner into the center of the lips.
