Mexico's Only Public Dairy Farm-Cheese Cellar Combo
A fourth-generation dairy farmer and cheese maker provides a delightfully different experience with Mexico's only public cheese cellar at his 100-year-old dairy farm.
La Cava de Marcelo, or "Marcelo's Cave," is the only cheese cellar open to the public in Mexico.
All of the cows on the dairy farm are fed a simple diet of grass, alfalfa, corn, grain and fresh water, with zero antibiotics.
Inside La Cava de Marcelo, guests can taste the various cheeses of various ages produced at the 100-year-old farm.
Visitors can sample the different kinds of cheeses on a plate such as this one.
Above ground, guests can eat lunch with locally-crafted beer.
