    DIY: Spotted Navy Porcelain

    I love having unique and original dishes in the home. The best place to start is with some good ole’ fashioned white dishes. You can customize them any which way you want with a little bit of porcelain paint. I chose a blue hue for this easy DIY.

    A white mug Small paintbrush Porcelain paint in any color you prefer The mugs I used can be found here. The porcelain paint can be found at your local Michaels store — and it's on clearance! I went with the turquoise because it comes out like a dark navy.

  • How to Do It:
    Shake the bottle and then open up. Use the lid to hold a little bit of the paint. Dip the circular end of your paintbrush in the paint and get crackin'.

  • And that's it!
    The painting process takes about 30 minutes from start to finish. When the paint is dry, bake your mug at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 35 minutes. Soon enough, you'll have a cute new cup that you can brag about. It also makes the perfect gift for a friend! Have fun!
