Kim Kardashian wants to channel her inner royal.
The Telegraph is reporting that the 33-year-old reality TV star is set on wearing a gown similar to Duchess Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen lace dress for her upcoming wedding with rapper Kanye West.
“Kim is absolutely obsessed with everything Kate and William do,” a source tells Grazia magazine. “Kim loves Kate’s style and while she is planning on several gowns for her big day. She wants the one for the ceremony to look something like Kate’s dress."
The regal gown, designed by McQueen creative director Sarah Burton, was recognized as “the world’s best-kept secret” before it was revealed at Westminster Abbey for the big day in 2011. People Magazine stated then-29-year-old Middleton wore a fitted white V-neck gown with a long-sleeved lace overlay. It featured a two-meter train and the dress was composed of French Chantilly lace, as well as English Cluny lace.
The skirt, made of ivory and white satin gazar, was “designed to emulate an opening flower.” The back of the dress was finished with 58 gazar and organza-covered buttons fastened by Rouleau loops. The look was finished with a tiara made fit for a princess.
No word on how Kardashian will attempt to top Middleton...yet. Expect comparisons of epic proportions from her very vocal fiancé, who also is famous for his own fashion label. West already declared that their daughter North "is in the position of a level of royalty like the Prince and Princess of London."
This will be Kardashian’s third marriage and Kanye's first.
