For almost three decades, the Hispanic Heritage Awards have left a footprint on the landscape of America. The uplifting show makes all Latinos proud, honoring people in the arts, technology, education and more.

Now the celebration is getting bigger.

The 26th annual show will air September 15th on the MundoFox network from the spectacular Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and features celebrities like Eva Longoria, Lucero and many more.

This week, MY Lifestyle Extra features Antonio Tijerino, president and CEO of the Hispanic Heritage Foundation to discuss the legacy of the organization’s goal of empowering Latino youth with the skills they need for a better life and connecting them with employers.

He also reveals for the first time details of his recent New York visit with entrepreneur Donald Trump where he introduced undocumented Latino youths, or “DREAMers,” to the mogul. He discusses how the meeting went and much more.
