Gómez might have grown up very poor in Cuba but he lived in a house rich with passion and full of music.

Gómez and his band mates would stay up late until the state radio stations went off the air in Cuba, then they would climb to the roof of their buildings to catch the sounds of American music beaming in from Miami radio stations using home-made antennas.
