The 2013 James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards was a star-studded event filled with the who's who of the chef world, and of course, great food. Here's a taste of what it was like behind the scenes.

Braised octopus with sea urchin, coconut, avocado and cilantro by Cafe Boulud's Gavin Kaysen, inspired by the movie "Cast Away", was served at the gala following the James Beard Foundation Awards ceremony.
