Taco Bell fans, rejoice.

For the first time ever, the Tex-Mex chain is rolling out a cheesy queso dip nationwide.

The cheese sauce comes as a stand-alone option with chips or as part of two new limited-edition menu items-- the Steakhouse Burrito and the Steakhouse Queso Nachos.

"We took our time perfecting the recipe, going through 20-plus versions until we reached the perfect flavor and level of spice,” the chain said in a statement.

“In the end, we think we got to the perfect combination of sharp and creamy indulgence balanced with good spice and acidity from the peppers and spices."

The final recipe, which the chain says took six months to perfect, uses processed cheese, tomatillos, jalapeños, garlic, onions, cayenne, and fire-roasted green chilies from New Mexico’s Hatch Valley.

Many were surprised the popular taco chain didn't already have a version of the gooey, spicy sauce.

The move may be an attempt to compete with Qdoba Mexican Eats, which already has queso dip available in a variety of flavors.

Rene Pisciotti, Taco Bell's manager of product development, told Nation’s Restaurant News that the addition of queso was a personal mission. It was also a top priority to bring the cheesy favorite to the chain's loyal fan base.

TACO BELL'S CHEAPEST MENU ITEM?

“One thing we know about our customers is that they love cheese,” he said. “That’s definitely what they want from Taco Bell.”

The Steakhouse Burrito and Queso Nachos are both $5.99.
