Homer Simpson may be best known for his love of doughnuts, but the animated patriarch has been known to stuff his face with everything from cheeseburgers to fried chicken, potato chips and cookies.

Now, he’s finally weighed in on the famous pizza food fight between New York and Chicago. Is the Windy City’s deep dish better than New York City’s foldable thin crust style?

On Sunday, Fox aired a "Simprovised" episode—for the first time in 27 seasons, the characters took questions in real time from viewers on the East and West Coasts. The show producers proved it was live by having Simpson answer a question about rapper Drake’s performance on “Saturday Night Live” the night before. Simpson said the "Hotline Bling" performer was “terrible.”

During the East Coast airing, viewer George Quiroga asked the character the first food question of the evening-- whether he prefers Chicago deep dish or New York-style pizza.

"I prefer Chicago deep dish because I like Italian better than Chinese," Simpson said.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Quiroga originally planned to ask if the Simpsons had another movie planned.

But when the time came to talk to the famed character, the Chicagoan couldn’t help but lob a food-related question at one of television’s most beloved gluttons.

"Homer, we know, loves food. Knowing Dan Castellaneta [who is the voice of Homer Simpson] is from Chicago, knowing he was from here, I targeted a question specifically that I thought would elicit a pretty funny response," Quiroga told the paper.

Aside from food, Simpson was asked whether he would move to Canada if Donald Trump is elected president (he quipped that a lot of people already want him to move out of Springfield but he’s a Bernie Sanders fan because he “loves his chicken”), revealed his best hangover cure and told viewers how to make it look like you're hard at work when you're really taking a nap (“Always wear glasses with eyes glued onto them.”)

Homer Simpson may have made some enemies in the Big Apple with his response but at least both cities made out with a few laughs. Pizza point for the Windy City.
