Former special federal prosecutor Ken Starr is renting out the McLean, VA, home where he sat watching the U.S. House impeachment of then-President Bill Clinton in 1998.

The 7,019-square-foot home, which sits on 1.5 acres of land, has six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, and is available to rent for $8,000 a month. Amenities include a pool, hot tub, gazebo, multiple patios, six fireplaces, and a master bedroom on the main level. Lori Shafrin is the listing agent.

Starr was the special prosecutor brought in by a three-judge panel to initially investigate Clinton's involvement in the Whitewater investment scandal. The investigation morphed into looking at the president's affair with Monica Lewinsky.

"Ken Starr, for his part, tried to stay as far away from the impeachment disaster as possible. Taking refuge in his split- level home in McLean, Virginia, where he and his wife, Alice, had raised their family, Starr sat in the small TV room and watched the House impeachment vote in silence," wrote author Ken Gormley in his book " The Death of American Virtue, Clinton v. Starr."

Whoever rents the house will have that image to use as a conversation starter at their first house party.
