Utah Jazz star Gordon Hayward is making smart use of the $63 million, four-year contract he signed in July 2014. He recently parked some of that money in an enormous $3.35 million estate in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, just north of San Diego.

In college, the lanky forward led tiny Butler University to prominence and their first national championship game -- a game they lost to Duke when Hayward just missed a last-second half-court heave. Picked ninth in the 2010 NBA draft, he's been with the Jazz ever since, raising his scoring average in each of his five seasons in Salt Lake City.

Hayward's Spanish-style mansion offers 7,550 square feet of well-appointed living space, from the farmhouse-style kitchen with marble countertops to the spacious study with large windows.

Outside, the 2.35-acre property shines: A lighted tennis court offers Hayward all the space he needs to hone his skills in another sport, and a tiled courtyard surrounds the glamorous pool and spa. Also, the detached nanny's quarters are sure to give some solace to the new father.
