After Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina put his mansion in Caseyville, IL, up for sale in April, it was time for an upgrade. According to the St. Louis Business Journal, he recently purchased a bigger mansion in Creve Coeur, MO, a small city near St. Louis.

Molina, a lifelong Cardinal -- he's played for the team since his Major League debut in 2004 -- has won two World Series, played in seven All-Star games, and won seven Gold Glove awards.

His new 9,039-square-foot home, which sold for $2.23 million, is a serious step up from his previous digs, which clocked in at a mere 6,442 square feet. Located on just over an acre, the new house includes a beautifully landscaped backyard with pool and stone bridge.

And while the interiors feature luxe white walls and neutral stone accents, we can tell the real reason Molina wanted this home. It's gotta be the indoor batting cage, complete with netting, padded walls, and enough green decor to mimic the field.
