    William Neukom's Home

Batter up: William Neukom, the former managing general partner of the San Francisco Giants, hopes to circle the bases with the sale of his Seattle home for $3,850,000.

The buttoned-up and bow tie-wearing former Microsoft lawyer migrated to baseball and ran the Giants from 2008 to 2011, overseeing the team's World Series win in 2010. Despite his adventures in the San Francisco Bay Area, he held on to this dreamy home near Microsoft HQ.

Built in 1930, the residence sits on almost a half-acre of land, on the edge of a golf course, offering buyers privacy and lush landscaping. (Sorry, Giants fans: No baseball diamond here.)

The 5,400-square-foot, five-bedroom home features high ceilings, a fireplace, arched windows, and french doors, according to the listing. A sunroom includes tiled flooring and a wood-beamed ceiling. The upstairs bedrooms have access to a tiled deck with views of the golf course.

Neukom has had plenty of time to polish his golf swing. In 2011, less than a year after a Champagne-soaked clubhouse celebration, the lawyer was ousted from his position as CEO of the team.
