Mark your calendars, Mustang fans.
Ford has officially announced that the all-new 2015 Mustang (or will it be 2014 ½?!) will be unveiled on December 5th.
No further information about sixth generation pony car has yet been revealed, but speculation has it that it will be available with a selection of engines including a 3.7-liter V6, 5.0-liter V8 with possibly 450 hp, and a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder aimed mainly at global markets, but possibly offered in the U.S., as well.
The coupe and convertible are expected to be slightly smaller and lighter than the current car and feature a look that combines some of its heritage style with modern design elements from the Ford Evos concept car.
Renderings said to be based on leaked CAD designs put together by Mustang6G.com likely give a good idea of what to expect.
The Mustang will celebrate its 50th Anniversary on April 17th, 2014. Rumor has it the occasion will be marked at the New York Auto Show that day with the debut of a new Mustang Shelby GT350 designed to do battle with the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.
