It looks like Taco Bell is prepping to release a cooler, ranchier version of its wildly popular Doritos Locos Taco.
The company gave a huge hint Wednesday that a release could be coming by posting a picture of a taco, as well as packaging for Doritos Cool Ranch on its Facebook page and its Twitter page, saying "Anything could happen in #2013."
It's no surprise the Cool Ranch flavored Doritos Locos Taco could be in the works. In August, the Orange County Register reported that Taco Bell was testing out other flavors of the Locos Tacos shell, including Cool Ranch. Also Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed openly talked about adding two new Taco Bell dishes in 2013.
"The runway for [Doritos Locos Tacos] is massive," the Associated Press quoted Creed as saying.
The Doritos Locos Taco that Taco Bell introduced in 2012 is wildly successful and is the company's best-selling new product ever with over 200 million sold.
