Lauren Blanchard joined Fox News Channel in 2011 and is currently working as an Ailes Junior Reporter in Des Moines, Iowa.
Her career with FNC began as a Fox News Channel University (FNCU) summer intern for Special Report in Washington, DC. She was hired as a Campus Intern Representative during her senior year of college and helped recruit for the FNCU program as well as report on college issues from her campus. After graduation, Blanchard began working for the DC assignment desk as a desk assistant before moving to Fox News Sunday as a production assistant. In August of 2013 Blanchard was hired to be a Junior Reporter. Her assignment is to cover Des Moines, Iowa and other stories around the state providing coverage across multiple platforms.
Blanchard received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In college, she worked for the student news station, WOLV-TV, as a producer and anchor for Newsfeed. In her senior year, she started a morning news show, Wake Up with WOLV, as a producer and host. At her college station, Blanchard learned to shoot video, edit, and write as a multimedia journalist. She also was an intern for CBS affiliate WOIO in Cleveland, Ohio in 2010.
Blanchard grew up in Traverse City, Michigan and attributes all of her success to her family. She has very supportive parents and two brothers who are her best friends.
She is an alumna of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and a proud Wolverine.
