Does the Fox News app for iPhone cost anything?

Fox News does not charge for the application at this time. Please note that in the absence of a Wi-Fi connection, the Fox News app for iPhone may use your iPhone's cellular network connection to access and download content. Please check with your carrier to see if you will be charged for usage.

Live TV: Can I watch Fox News Channel on the application?

You can watch all of your favorite Fox News and Fox Business programming live on your iPhone and/or iPad as long as you have access to the respective channels through your current cable, satellite or telco TV subscription.

Live TV: How do I log in?

  1. Tap the Videos icon at the bottom of your screen
  2. Tap LIVE TV - Tune in Now
  3. Tap either Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network
  4. Select your cable, satellite, or telco company from the list of participating service providers
  5. Before typing in your username and password, confirm that you have access to Fox News Channel and/or Fox Business Network in your current cable or satellite TV subscription
  6. Enter your username and password - this is the same account information you use to pay your TV service provider bill online
  7. Tap sign-in
  8. Once you have correctly entered your login information, the grey key will change to yellow, and you can begin watching Fox News Channel and/or Fox Business Network live
  9. When you are finished viewing, tap the Done button in the top left corner to return to the previous screen

Live TV: Do I need to be in my home to watch?

No - By signing in with your cable, satellite, or telco company username and password, you can access the live programming from anywhere, on WiFi, or cellular connection. Video quality can vary, depending on your connection strength.

Live TV: I don't see my cable, satellite, or telco company listed. How can I watch?

Live TV: I don't know my username or password. How do I get it?

Live TV: I received the message "Sorry, you do not currently have access to this channel." What do I do?

You may not have access to either Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network. Contact your cable, satellite, or telco company for information on your subscription.

Live TV: Do I need to sign in each time I want to watch?

No, your login information should be valid for at least 30 days.

Live TV: I've switched cable companies – Can I still watch Live TV?

Yes, if your new package includes our channels and your new provider is available in the app. Tap the 'i' icon in the bottom left corner of the app. Tap Live TV in Settings. Tap Logout from Live TV and then return to the Live TV screen to log back in with your new credentials.

Live TV: I'm streaming Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network, but the video player is black and I can only hear the audio - is something wrong?

The video quality is dependent on your wireless network and signal strength. If you do not have a strong enough connection, you may only have access to the audio stream.

How do I turn on Fox News Radio?

  1. Tap the icon in the top right corner of the screen
  2. Tap the play icon to start the radio stream

A Now Playing button will appear in the upper right-hand corner as you browse through the app. Tap this button to easily return to the Radio page.

Can I read the news offline or in Airplane Mode?

Yes, you can read the latest news from the last time your device was connected to the Internet. Please note that some features including desktop mode, live and on-demand video require a network connection and will not be available when you are offline.

The articles and videos appear to be outdated - How can I refresh the content?

To refresh the content on the app, tap the arrow icon on the bottom right corner of the page. The time stamp to the left of the icon will show you the exact date and time the app was last updated.

How do I personalize the applications menu?

The menu is displayed at the bottom of the main screens of the application. You can configure the buttons to include your favorite sections of the app.

  1. To customize the menu, click More, and then tap Edit on the top right corner of the screen
  2. On the Configure screen, you can drag and drop icons into the menu to rearrange the application navigation

What is Fox News Desktop?

Fox News Desktop is a way to browse content. To view Fox News Desktop, rotate your phone counter-clockwise into landscape mode. Top stories, videos, and your local weather will cycle through Fox News Desktop every few seconds (or you can swipe through yourself). Watch as the actual Fox News Channel ticker scrolls across the bottom of the screen. Click on the silver bar at the top to turn on Fox News Talk Radio and listen to the radio programming live as you browse through the app.

How do I sign up for Breaking News alerts?

  1. Click the Settings icon on your iPhone home screen
  2. Select Notifications
  3. Confirm that Notifications are set to ON
  4. Select Fox News under Notifications, and turn Alerts ON

How do I deactivate Breaking News alerts?

  1. Click the Settings icon on your iPhone home screen
  2. Tap Notifications
  3. Scroll down and tap Fox News under Notifications
  4. Make sure the Notification Center is switched OFF, select None under Alert Style, switch Sounds and View in Lock Screen to OFF

How do I save articles, videos, or photos?

  1. Tap the star icon on the page where you are viewing the content (tap the star icon a second time to remove the story from your Favorites)
  2. You can then review your saved content later by clicking on More and selecting Favorites.

How do I remove articles, videos, or photos from favorites?

  1. Tap More and select Favorites.
  2. Click Edit to remove content from your Favorites

How can I share Fox News articles, videos, and photos?

You can share Fox News content via email, Facebook, and Twitter.

  1. Click on the share icon on article, photo, or video page and select email, Facebook, or Twitter
  2. You will be prompted to log in to Facebook or Twitter if you choose to share through these platforms

How do I change the font size?

You can change the font size on the article pages. At the bottom of the screen there is a large A and a small A, tap the large A to increase the font size, tap the small A to decrease it. The font size you select will be applied to all articles in the app.

How do I set the weather to my local area?

  1. Tap the weather icon in the upper left hand corner
  2. Select Weather then tap the Search City/Zip Code text box
  3. Enter your City, ST or Zip Code into the text box and select your city from the list of options OR press the current location button to use GPS to find your local weather
  4. Click the More button in the upper right corner or one of the sections in the bottom navigation to continue browsing the app

How do I set the weather to Fahrenheit or Celsius?

  1. Tap the weather icon in the upper left hand corner
  2. Tap Weather
  3. Tap the Search City/Zip Code search field
  4. Swipe down to the bottom of the list, and you should see a °F button and a °C button
  5. Tap either the °F or °C button to change the temperature scale
