Does the Fox News app for iPad cost anything?

Fox News does not charge for the application at this time. Please note that in the absence of a Wi-Fi connection, the Fox News app for iPad may use your iPad's cellular network connection to access and download content. Please check with your carrier to see if you will be charged for usage.

Live TV: Can I watch Fox News Channel on the application?

You can watch all of your favorite Fox News and Fox Business programming live on your iPhone and/or iPad as long as you have access to the respective channels through your current cable, satellite or telco TV subscription.

Live TV: How do I log in?

  1. Tap the WATCH LIVE button in the upper left hand corner of the page
  2. Tap either Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network
  3. Select your cable, satellite, or telco company from the list of participating service providers
  4. Before typing in your username and password, confirm that you have access to Fox News Channel and/or Fox Business Network in your current cable or satellite TV subscription
  5. Enter your username and password - this is the same account information you use to pay your TV service provider bill online
  6. Tap sign-in
  7. Once you have correctly entered your login information, the grey key will change to yellow, and you can begin watching Fox News Channel and/or Fox Business Network live
  8. When you are finished viewing, tap the Done button in the top left corner to return to the previous screen

Live TV: Do I need to be in my home to watch?

No - By signing in with your cable, satellite, or telco company username and password, you can access the live programming from anywhere, on WiFi, or cellular connection. Video quality can vary, depending on your connection strength.

Live TV: I don't see my cable, satellite, or telco company listed. How can I watch?

Contact your cable, satellite, or telco company for more information.

Live TV: I don't know my username or password. How do I get it?

Contact your cable, satellite, or telco company and they can help you out.

Live TV: I received the message "Sorry, you do not currently have access to this channel." What do I do?

You may not have access to either Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network. Contact your cable, satellite, or telco company for information on your subscription.

Live TV: Do I need to sign in each time I want to watch?

No, your login information should be valid for at least 30 days.

Live TV: I've switched cable companies - Can I still watch Live TV?

Yes, if your new package includes our channels and your new provider is available in the app. Tap Log Out on the Live TV page in Settings and then return to the Live TV screen to log back in with your new credentials.

Live TV: My provider isn't listed - Can I still watch video elsewhere in the app?

Yes - All of the other articles, videos, and slideshows that you've always accessed are still available to everyone. This includes breaking news events streamed live without having to log in and FoxNews.com Live.

Live TV: I'm streaming Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network, but the video player is black and I can only hear the audio - is something wrong?

The video quality is dependent on your wireless network and signal strength. If you do not have a strong enough connection, you may only have access to the audio stream.

Can I read the news offline or in Airplane Mode?

Yes, you can read the latest news from the last time your device was connected to the Internet. Please note that some features including live and on-demand video require a network connection and will not be available when you are offline.

What will I find in the Happening Now section?

Happening Now contains the latest articles and videos from all of your favorite sections including Politics, Entertainment, Health, and more. The featured content will automatically rotate every few seconds or you can swipe through yourself. You can also access Foxnews.com Live from the Happening Now on the applications home screen. Tap into Foxnews.com Live to watch the live web show on the day's hottest topics.

Can I pause the Happening Now section?

Yes - to pause Happening Now tap the Pause icon in the lower right hand corner of the Happening Now section.

How do I sort the news by content type?

With the Fox News iPad app you choose how you view the news. Select articles, videos, or slideshows by tapping their respective icons on the left side of the content slider to get the news the way you want! Your selections will remain across news categories and the app will remember your preferences for future visits.

How do I turn on Fox News Radio?

  1. Tap the radio icon on the top left of the screen
  2. Press the play button
  3. You can continue streaming Fox News Radio in the background

How do I sign up for Breaking News alerts?

  1. Go to Settings on your iPad homescreen and tap Notifications
  2. Confirm that Notifications are set to ON
  3. Scroll down and tap Fox News under Notifications to set your alert preferences

How do I deactivate Breaking News alerts?

  1. Go to Settings on your iPad homescreen and tap Notifications
  2. Scroll down and tap Fox News under Notifications
  3. Make sure the Notification Center is switched OFF, select None under Alert Style, switch Sounds and View in Lock Screen to OFF

How do I save articles, slideshows, or videos?

To save articles & slideshows:

  1. Tap the star icon (tapping the star a second time will remove the item from your Favorites)
  2. You can review your saved articles and slideshow later by tapping the Favorites tab

To save videos:

  1. Tap the + icon (to remove videos from your Playlist, tap the plus icon again)
  2. To access your saved video clips later, select the Playlist tab

How do I remove articles, videos, or photos from my Playlist or Favorites?

  1. Tap either Playlist or Favorites
  2. For articles and slideshows, tap the yellow star and select 'Delete'
  3. For videos, tap the + icon and select 'Delete'

How can I share Fox News articles, videos, and slideshows?

You can share Fox News content via email, Facebook, and Twitter

  1. Click on the share icon on an article, photo, or video page and select email, Facebook, or Twitter
  2. You will be prompted to log in to Facebook or Twitter if you choose to share through these platforms
  3. You can manage your Facebook and Twitter logins through Settings in the app

How do I change the font size?

You can change the font size on article pages. At the top of the screen there is a large A and a small A, tap the large A to increase the font size, tap the small A to decrease it. The font size you select will be applied to all articles in the app.

How do I set the weather to my local area?

  1. Tap the weather section on the right hand side of the ticker
  2. Tap the Search City/Zip Code text box
  3. Enter your City, ST or Zip Code into the text box and select your city from the list of options OR press the current location button to use GPS to find your local weather
  4. Click the Home button in the upper left to continue browsing the app

How do I set the weather to Fahrenheit or Celsius?

  1. Tap the weather section in the right hand side of the ticker
  2. Tap either the °F or °C button to change the temperature scale
