NSA ends bulk data collection, forcing debate over terror concerns

THE NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY ends today its program — exposed by NSA contractor Edward Snowden — of collecting in bulk the phone records of millions of Americans and foreigners in a move that has been lauded by some US lawmakers, while making other politicians uneasy following the cellphone intelligence that led to several arrests in the deadly terror attacks in Paris this month.
