Smithville, NJ

Historic Smithville's “Light Show on the Lake” is simply breathtaking. More than 130 Christmas trees decked in 30,000 lights float across Lake Meone, as they are lit to classic holiday carols heard all across the lake.

Selling out almost every year for the past 20 years, The Santa Claus excursion train at Whippany's Railway Museum, takes you on a 10-mile train ride. With decorated train cars, visits from Santa and special gifts for the children, this adventure is sure to be a crowd pleaser for the whole family.

The “Festival of Light”  has been a long standing tradition in Hartford for 47 years. This year, more than 250,000 lights set historic Bushnell Park aglow. Other attractions include live entertainment, dazzling fountains, sculptures and a brand new outdoor skating rink, so don't forget to bring your ice skates.

For those of you with a sweet tooth, check out the 43rd annual “Gingerbread Village” in Middlebury CT, a lavish display of more than 60 delectable gingerbread houses. As if that isn’t enough, these tasty treats will be made available to purchase.

For more than 75 years the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York City has been a timeless tradition. The tree, which is typically between 75ft and 90ft tall, is illuminated by 30,000 lights and topped with a Swarovski crystal star. 

Dyker Heights, Brooklyn attracts visitors from all over the country who come to see their famous holiday décor.  Houses aglow with lights from top to bottom and toy soldiers reaching heights of 30 feet are just a few of the outrageous displays you will find here.
