Red was the HOTTEST trend on the red carpet this year, first seen on presenter Lea Michele. The star looked red-hot in a body-hugging Marchesa gown with exaggerated shoulders and a low-cut back. The "Glee" actress said that while she loved her dress last year, her goal this year was to be “super comfortable”.

Emmy host Jane Lynch walked the red carpet in this strapless berry colored gown with a pleated bodice, natural waist, flowing skirt and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. This was the first of four David Meister gowns the actress wore over the course of the evening.

Elisabeth Moss was a far cry from her homely "Mad Men" character Peggy Olsen, looking stunning in a gold, embroidered gown from Marchesa. The mermaid style’s beaded leaves and illusion sleeves were beautiful.

Best actress in a drama nominee Julianna Margulies chose a white Armani Prive gown that failed to wow The Style Guide. It desperately needed to be hemmed, and the oversized crystals were ostentatious at best.

Gwyneth Paltrow won our best-dressed award in this black Pucci beaded and embroidered gown. The Emmy winner said she tried on only two dresses, knowing this was the one. However, the lighting in the dressing room must have been dim: the actress told Ryan Seacrest that she feared it was slightly see-through.

Sofia Vergara blew us away in a one-shoulder Vera Wang gown. While she looked fantastic, the "Modern Family" star seemed more excited about her new fashion line for Kmart.

"Modern Family" actress Julie Bowen has talked about how difficult it is for her to find a dress to fit her boy-body. Well, it looks as if she’s either hired a great a stylist or figured out what works for her because she wowed us in this Oscar de la Renta metallic, beaded gown with a plunging neckline and Neil Lane earrings.

Christina Hendricks showed off her famous curves in a nude Johanna Johnson beaded gown. She said the designer sent her the retro style and she knew right away it was the one.

"Charlie's Angels" stars Annie Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor stuck together on the red carpet. While Minka looked demure in Dior, and Annie looked elegant in Romona Keveza, it was Rachael who rocked in sexy and silver Armani.

Superstar Kate Winslet looked understated yet stupendous in what she described as a “comfortable and fabulous” red Elie Saab gown. The "Mildred Pierce" star said she usually panics before she hits the red carpet, but you’d never know it in this dress!

While we’re huge fans of Zooey Deschanel and looking forward to her new show "The New Girl," we were disappointed at her coral bridesmaid-esque dress from Monique Lhullier. Deschanel’s high hair added to the unsophisticated belted style with its over-the-top ball gown skirt. To Zooey’s credit, we do love dresses with pockets (HER favorite part of the dress)!
