Trend: Glittering GoldGold was definitely THE color to wear, but while it worked for some it was not a great choice for others. Our favorite was Kate Walsh, who rocked in a long sleeve mini sequined dress she picked up earlier in the day at a vintage shop, Decades. Her look was glamorous but understated. We wish we could say the same for Pussycat Dolls' Nicole Scherzinger and Gossip Girl's Kelly Rutherford, who both looked overdressed.

Trend: Black & WhiteBlack and white combos were a red carpet repeat this year. Our favorite was Olivia Wilde's floaty and fabulous Monique Lhullier. Ginnifer Goodwin's Christian Lacroix, on the other hand, we liked NOT so much. We would totally die for Carrie Underwood's Christian Cota style, but it was her Rock and Republic shoes we would literally work nights for! Carrie of course was on cloud nine for other reasons - showing off her new engagement ring and winning an award for favorite country artist.

Trend: Blue & PurpleThe Glee girls looked gorgeous on the red carpet - both Amber Riley and Dianna Agron wore lovely shades of blue and purple. The girls joined the rest of the cast to take home the best new comedy award as well. Unfortunately Demi Lovato's shredded number looked like her cat got to her before she left home.

Our Not So FavesWhy must Mariah always wear dresses just a tiny bit too tight? It seems even the diva herself knows how we feel, thanking hubby Nick Cannon for helping her squeeze herself in. While she did win for favorite R & B artist, the audience seemed much more concerned about whether she would take the stage tipsy again. Uh, and as for Sandra Bullock's t-length style, we didn't HATE it, but the beige brocade would have worked better as curtains than as a red carpet look. She did take home the award for favorite movie actress.

Our FavesOnce again Taylor Swift topped our list of best dressed in a perfectly stylish, sexy and sweet Jenny Packham white tissue-paperesque mini with Louboutin heels (naturally). However, it was Lea Michele who ditched her character's knee socks and pleated skirts for a red-hot bustier dress that won our best dressed award!
