Ah, fashion at the Grammys.  Awards season usually means regal, couture gowns dusting along red carpet after red carpet, but the Grammy Awards have become the exception.

After months, nay years, of hard workouts, yoga and successful plastic surgery, stars use the Grammys as an excuse to reveal taut tummies, lots of cleavage (real and not-so-real) and, mostly, lots of skin.  

Some are repeat offenders (ahem, Xtina), while others may have had momentary lapses in judgment. Regardless, it makes my job as iMag's resident fashionista a lot more interesting.  Besides, anything goes in the world of rock 'n' roll.

When J. Lo walked out to present an award at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards, you could actually hear the collective gasp in the auditorium.  The down-to-there (and up-to-there!) Versace gown created an unforgettable fashion moment that has yet to be topped nine years later.

Christina has managed to make many worst-dressed lists over the years, and she makes our almost undressed list wearing this silver (scraps of a) dress to the Grammys.

A winner that year for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Braxton left little to the imagination in a gown (if you can call it that) that looked like some strategically-placed toilet paper, cinched with a white ribbon.

2001 appears to have been a year filled with skimpy fashion, and the three ladies of Destiny's Child were no exception, wearing coordinated gowns, each provocative in its very own special way.

We get it, Christina - you're "Dirrrty," and Aguilera reminded us again at the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards in this x-rated lace-up gown.     

The Mexican singer showed she's got back in a very low draped-back dress. Just a few centimeters lower, and she probably would have revealed much more than her back.

Celebrating her Grammy win for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, the singer slipped out of this dress several times throughout the night, even popping out on stage as she accepted her award!

Crow put her enviable abs on full display in a lemon-yellow gown that looked like someone took a big bite out of it.  Although she probably wore the dress in support of then-boyfriend Lance Armstrong's LiveStrong campaign to raise money for cancer research, she probably could have also used a little more material to support her, as well.

The singer showed off her legs, and pretty much everything else, in this blue Pucci dress.

From far away, Rihanna looked covered up, but look closely and you could see just about everything in this sexy and revealing Jean Paul Gaultier gown.
