5 Things Tom Brady Can Give Gisele Bundchen for Valentine's Day

How will the power couple celebrate the Hallmark holiday?

These might not be the happiest two weeks of any single, female Pats fan’s life (jig's up, I'm throwing myself in the aforementioned category): The Patriots just lost the Super Bowl and we're about a week out from Valentine’s Day. As I watched Gisele try to console Tom following the Pats' devastating 21-17 loss to the Giants on Sunday, I did what any rationally irrational sports fan would do, I became even more angry. And then I thought about what Tom will get her for V-Day. It’s doubtful he has spent any time thinking about this in the past few weeks, you know, with his job and all … but now he’ll have some much-needed free time to really come up with something extra special. So, to help Tom, (and Brady ladies everywhere) work through the many emotions they are undoubtedly feeling following Sunday’s big game, I have put together a list of gift ideas for the QB as he decides what to get his bride. Enjoy.

1. More Discreet Friends
I get it – she was sending a loving, private email to friends and family, asking them to pray for her husband whom she loves, to win the Super Bowl. I don’t begrudge her of that. But she should probably do some investigation into how "close" those friends are. Brady already has a target larger than MetLife Stadium on his back, so giving the New York media any more fodder was just a bad move. And just as Tebow fans learned a few weeks ago, God might not have as much to do with football scores as we all want to believe.

2. Furniture
Bundchen and Brady are about ready to move into the modest abode they’ve been building for the past two years in Brentwood, Calif. She’ll only need a few pieces to fill their 22,000 square-foot home (that’s 7,333 sq. feet per person if you include their two-year-old son). Nothing that a quick trip to Crate and Barrel can’t fix, I’m sure.

3. A Mute Button
Blaming the wide receivers for the Pats’ loss in the Super Bowl? Awesome. If adding insult to injury is her goal, she is scoring all kinds of points with the Patriots faithful.

4. A Cheeseburger
I mean, I’m not going to elaborate on this one. Except to say extra mayo.

5. Fine … Flowers
I’m not a total blackheart. Just because I’m completely miserable as I reel in the pathetic loss of my team to the New York Giants for the second time in four years … doesn’t mean that Gisele should be. Tom should be a nice guy and get her a bouquet of roses. Goodness knows they won’t be going to Disney World.

*Views/misplaced anger expressed in this piece were 50-75 percent due to post-Super Bowl depression, but were in fact, entirely my own.
