3 Overlooked Aspects to the Most Memorable Weddings
Don't forget these three key wedding elements that will guarantee a good time!
How can you make sure you wedding goes down in the history books, for both you and your guests? Forget the expensive dress and outrageous flower arrangements; sometimes, it's the simplest things that go the farthest. Darcy Miller, Editor-in-Chief of Martha Stewart Weddings, gave us her big three musts for an unforgettable wedding.
Music
People often think of the dress and the flowers first, but I think the music is so important. It's up to the music, whether you choose a DJ or a band to get the momentum of the party going. If the music is not good and people don't dance, then it's not as fun. It definitely sets the tone.
Toasts
Couples often wait until way too late to write toasts, and many couples don't give toasts at their own weddings. But because guests don't really get to talk to the bride and groom on the day, it's a time for the bride and groom to acknowledge the guests. So I always think it's nice when at least the bride and groom say something at the wedding themselves.
Vows
A wedding is really about the ceremony. By taking a little time to plan what you're going to say, it will become a really personal and special moment for the both of you.
