VIDEO: The Right Way to Wear Makeup With Glitter
Four easy steps to wear sparkle and look chic, not childish.

Do you walk through the aisles of Sephora secretly wishing you could wear this season's sparkly shades, but afraid you'll look silly? Jemma Kidd, known for her Jemma Kidd Makeup line, says "so many women want to wear glitter but they don't want to look like their teenage daughters."
Kidd made up a model in her 40s who looked both glamorous and age-appropriate. The glitter look is "sheek, classic and looks fabulous." The shimmer "catches the light, it makes the eyes come alive" says Kidd.
Building off of her "Youthful Glow" look, here's her steps to pulling it off in the video below.
1. Apply eye shadow. Use a taupe color over the entire bottom half of the eyelid, up to the crease.
2. Use an eyeliner to define the lash line. Be sure to lift lid and apply right to the root of the lash.
3. Add shimmer. Place a tissue under the eye to catch any loose glitter. Using a small brush, pat glitter directly onto the eyeliner.
4. Finish with mascara. Add a few coats for more dramatic eyes.
