Stars at SAG: Get the Look

At this year's Sag Awards Kate Hudson and Drew Barrymore both rocked red carpet looks that included neutral make-up and sweeping up-dos. But why did one look fab, and the other drab?
First off, Kate’s winning smile is the first “do”! Ladies, when going to an event, a smile is your best beauty accessory. Secondly, Kate’s swept back hair is by far a more modern style with beachy waves and an imperfect gathering. Drew’s up-do with curly tendrils reminds us instead of an 80’s prom style.

As for makeup, Kate’s golden glow is accentuated by a sheer, natural lip color. Her heavier mascara draws attention to her beautiful eyes. Drew’s eyebrows and blush are too harsh for her pale skin, and the pale pink lipstick doesn’t match the rest of the look. We think she could have achieved Kate’s understated glamour with the following products:
