Halloween How-To: Look like Smurfette

Go beyond basic blue to create this loveable Smurf princess.

Text Size

Thanks to their recent films, The Smurfs have made a comeback and their lovable little princess is sure to be a BIG hit this Halloween. However, going “smurf” is more than just a blue face. Our makeup guru Nathan Johnson has a few easy steps to become Smurfette.

Step 1 (optional): Add a prosthetic nose piece which can be bought at any professional makeup store. Or for an easier solution try a rubber one like this. Be sure to wipe any oil from the skin using a makeup remover and then apply the nose using pros-aid.

Step 2: Sponge on a cream blue foundation all over the face and nose.

Step 3: Apply large fake eyelashes for a cartoonish look.

Step 4: Brush a highlighter onto the eyelid.

Don’t forget to finish the look with Smurfette’s costume! Check out our video below to see our own Food & Wellness Editor Colleen, get turned into her favorite smurf.

Beauty Quick Tip

Has Heat-Styling Fried Your Hair? Check out our video on how you can STILL get A-list hair without the damage.
