Baby saved after pregnant mother killed in Israel air strike

A newborn baby was delivered from her dying mother in Gaza on Sunday.

The Palestinian baby girl was born at a hospital in the southern Gaza Strip.

Her mother, father and siblings were all killed in an Israeli air strike. Doctors say they had to perform a quick surgery to get the baby out alive.

She remains in an incubator in serious condition.

So far, the fighting between Israel and Hamas militants has led to more than 1,000 casualties.
