Home is where the heart is

Close your eyes and repeat after me: "There's no place like home.  There's no place like home."

Truer words were never spoken....at least for me.

I feel like I am part of that new TV show, 'Under The Dome,' except there are no aliens trying to get me.  I am in the comfort zone of all time – staying in the house I grew up in, with the bed I slept in, and with both my parents alive in their mid-80s.

For the first time in six months I am not sick, which is peculiar.  I imagine it is in part because I am so emotionally happy. There is something to be said for comfort food and unconditional love.  I'm not saying that if I moved back home it would cure my cancer, but it is sure nice to feel like I'm getting a break from cancer.

I hope that everyone reading this blog leans on their family and friends for support the way I do.  I know some of you are reticent when it comes to asking for help, but you can't imagine the power of visiting friends and spending time with people you care about.  You don't have to ask for anything. Just pick up the phone and ask to come over for a visit.  It will do your heart and your health GOOD!
