1. Coconut water
Coconut water is a clear, refreshing, fat-free, low-calorie liquid extracted from young, green coconuts, which have not reached maturity.
It is rich in potassium and magnesium and is popular among athletes. Coconut water is also a natural isotonic juice and a great source of essential electrolytes.
While coconut water tastes sweet, it contains less sugar than other fruit juices, like apple or grape juice.
2. Green tea
Green tea is known for its many health benefits - and may reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer.
Green tea is the least processed type of tea and thus provides high levels of the antioxidants polyphenol and catechins, which are believed to be responsible for a plethora of the health benefits. These antioxidants can help block the oxidation of LDL (bad) cholesterol, increase HDL (good) cholesterol and improve artery function.
3. Natural energy drinks
Natural energy drinks are made with ingredients such as caffeine, taurine and vitamin B complex.
In light of the negative press surrounding other energy drinks, natural energy drinks have been on the rise. Green coffee extract is another popular ingredient in these beverages and research suggests that it may provide a more balanced energy boost than synthetic caffeine, which causes strong energy spikes and crashes.
4. Aloe vera juice
Aloe vera not only has external benefits, but internal benefits as well.
Aloe vera beverages may aid the digestive system and help improve bladder issues. Packed full of vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids, aloe vera can also increase nutrient absorption in the body.
5. Pressed juices
Drinking pressed juice is an easy way to consume your recommended daily amount of fruits and vegetables.
Vitamins A, C and E can help boost your immune system and may contain anti-cancer properties. Consuming raw pressed juices promotes cardiovascular health, helping to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, and acts as a detox and cleansing system for your body.
6. Chia seeds
Chia seeds pack a powerful punch; known as the “running food” by the ancient Aztecs, chia seeds can absorb nine to 12 times their weight in water. When consumed, they provide your body with prolonged hydration.
Chia seeds are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids and B-complex vitamins which will keep you nutritionally-charged and looking young.
7. Protein water
Protein water is a great alternative source of protein for picky eaters and lactose intolerant individuals.
Some are ready-to-drink beverages, while others are powders intended to be mixed with water. Protein water keeps you hydrated and is good at controlling hunger.
