The world’s shortest siblings – who happen to be primordial dwarves – will debut in a new reality show at 10 p.m. Monday on TLC.
“Big Tiny” features Bridgette (Bri) Jordan, 23, who is the “World’s Shortest Living Woman,” at 27 inches tall and 18 pounds. Her brother, Bradley, is 38 inches tall and weighs 35 pounds.
Bri and Brad don’t let their small stature get them down: They have self-confidence and athleticism rivaling other young adults of similar ages.
It is believed there are fewer than 200 primordial dwarfs worldwide, according to the Potentials Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families with PD. Individuals who have PD usually reach their maximum height around the age of 12. And PDs often have skeletal, dental, vision and/or hearing issues.
There are currently five different sub-types of primordial dwarfism.
The series follows Brad, a cheerleader who has powerful gymnastic skills, and attends college. Bri, the self-proclaimed “boss of the family,” has to wear a tracheotomy, which she admits is frustrating at times – but she won’t let it stop her from baking, babysitting or hanging out with friends.
Bri and Brad live in Sandoval, Ill., with their mom, Christy, a registered nurse, and older sister Brandi.
