This signature drink from Bombay Sapphire’s North American Brand Ambassador Gary Hayward combines ingredients with great significance in Chinese culture like Oolong and mandarin tea, while integrating popular a popular ingredient from the West-- ginger beer. The Silk Journey will be featured at this Friday’s Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon Cocktail Feast at The Bowery Hotel. Bombay Sapphire East Gin, infused with Thai Lemongrass and Vietnamese Black Peppercorn, brings in some serious complexity, spiciness, and depth to this refreshing cocktail.
- 2 oz Bombay Sapphire East Gin
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lime juice
- 0.5 oz Pomegranate syrup
- 2oz Oolong and mandarin tea
- Shake all ingredients, besides ginger beer, in cocktail shaker with ice.
- Pour into martini or highball glass and top ginger beer. Garnish with one large orange zest, a piece of candied ginger or pomegranate seeds.
