Guacamole isn't just for your chips anymore. Try this amazing guacamole recipe from Erica Dinho and spread it on top of a perfectly cooked hot dog for a Colombian style treat.


The Ultimate Guacamole:

  • 2 Ripe avocados
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped white onion
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 Small jalapeño pepper, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 Small ripe tomato, chopped
  • Salt and pepper

Hot Dog:

  • Hot Dog Buns
  • Hot Dogs
  • Guacamole
  • Chopped onion


The Ultimate Guacamole:

  • Cut each avocado in half, working around the pit. Twist apart, and remove the pit with a knife. Peel off the skin and toss in a bowl. Add the lime juice to prevent from browning, mash the avocados. Add the onion, jalapeño pepper, tomato, cilantro, pepper and salt.

Step 1:

  • In a medium pot bring water to a boil. Add the hot dogs to the boiling water and cover. Cook about 5 – 7 minutes.

Step 2:

  • Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 3:

  • Place the hot dogs in the buns and top with guacamole and chopped onions.
