This would be a lock if only the horse talked. Instead, we're treated to sweeping vistas complete with cavalry charges and the improbable love between a boy and his horse. Toast to a horse of a different color with a Moscow Mule – the classic mix of lime, ginger and vodka. After all, someone always does make an ass of themselves at the Oscars.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 ounce vodka

3/4 ounce lime juice

4 ounce ginger beer (Goslings offers just enough ginger spice)

Preparation:

Add the vodka and lime juice to a rocks glass full of ice and then top off with the ginger beer. After all, you're not the one who has to travel to the western front to find his horse.
